Instagram has announced the launch of the like function in Stories for all users of the platform. The official announcement was made by Adam Mosseri , general manager of the platform, on his Phone Number List Twitter account on February 14th. “Now you can send some love by liking people's stories without sending a DM. Likes on stories are private and don't count. Instead, they show up as hearts next to people's handles in your Story Visualization worksheet," explained Adam Mosseri. Users around the world began using the feature and promoting it on their various social networks, including Instagram.
In Brazil, all users began to notice the appearance of the function on the 22nd of February. Instagram launches the like function in Stories As we have already mentioned in previous articles about Instagram, the social network in question understands well how to keep its users active and interested in the platform to avoid its obsolescence.
One of the adopted strategies is simply to always promote changes and new features in the application. The most notable change at first was the appearance of the Stories format , which Snapchat was making a hit with. After a few years and many visual and system upgrades, Instagram incorporated Reels to fight TikTok head-on . Now, another new function appears to keep Internet users interested in the App, the like in Stories. To be able to like Stories, just open someone's Story and, in the lower left corner, click on the heart. Thus, the person who posted the content can also see that you liked it, as well as in the photos in the Feed. However, the difference is that the likes are private, only having access to them the owner of the account that received the like.
