Цікаві факти про фільм "Захар Беркут": Сподіваюся, цей фільм увійде в історію, як і наша марка», — наголосив пан Смілянський. Партнером та консультантом стрічки став Міжнародний Фонд Івана Франка. Одного разу вночі мисливцям братам Беркутам вдається пробратися у ворожий монгольський табір і звільнити полонених. Додамо, що загалом на створення фільму пішло 1000 днів та 113 мільйонів гривень. З партнерами почали працювати дещо пізніше. У зйомках екшена "Захар Беркут" за мотивами однойменної повісті Івана Франка візьме участь велика міжнародна акторська команда з України, США, Казахстану, Великобританії та Монголії. Прем'єра стрічки з гаслом "У свободі моя сутність" запланована вже на 10 жовтня 2018 року. Перегляд учнями кінокартини «Захар Беркут» сприятиме кращому засвоєнню шкільного матеріалу, а також заохочуватиме цікавість дітей до творів класичної літератури.

Вони ще є. Ця стрічка — наймасштабніший історичний екшн часів незалежної України, знятий за мотивами однойменної повісті Івана Франка. І я точно знаю, що саме я звідти взяв. А у «Захарі Беркуті» можна нашкребти ледве не три-чотири навіть не сцени, а кадри, де можна побачити, що тут дійсно думали, як ефектно показати деталі екшену. Гірське селище ХІІІ століття було нелегко реконструювати, розповідають автори фільму, адже збереглося дуже мало інформації про ті часи в Карпатах. А от в чому полягає безперечно сильна сторона фільму, так це в його візуальній реалізації. Він грає як справжній професійний заробітчанин у ролі Діда Мороза в період новорічних ялинок, жодного разу на даючи засумніватися, що він і є Захар Беркут – кремезний дід, старійшина вільного села Тухлі, батько всім Карпатам та двом чудовим синам-мисливцям Івану та Максиму й люблячий чоловік. Для проекту було створено понад 600 оригінальних костюмів, що склало більше ніж 3 000 одиниць одягу, сотні екземплярів зброї, аксесуарів, прикрас, посуду. Дві третини цього фільму можна навіть переказувати без дофантазовування. Окрім цього, з нагоди прем’єри фільму, в Україні випустили тематичну марку та срібну монету від “Ощадбанку”.

Ти ніби розумієш, що «їхнє» притягнули за вуха, що все зроблено шаблонно, незграбно. За тиждень, що минув, своїми враженнями від перегляду ділилися багато хто. Однак вночі кілька місцевих мисливців - брати Беркути потайки пробираються в табір та звільняють полонених. Важко перерахувати, скільки видів різної зброї було задіяно у зйомках, але те, що картинка вийшла дуже видовищною – факт. Розлючений хан готовий стерти з лиця землі усі карпатські поселення. Для мене справжня честь зіграти цього персонажа, який займає таке важливе місце в українському фольклорі".
